Dr. Allen Awarded NSF ERI Grant
Assistant Professor Quentin Allen was awarded an Engineering Research Initiation (ERI) grant from the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF). This award is to study friction stir processing to improve the wear and corrosion resistance of advanced biocompatible metal alloys such as cobalt-chromium-molybdenum (CoCrMo) for orthopedic implants such as hip and knee replacements.
